About this specimen
Fully mature, potentially male specimen. We could tell it was mature due to the four trichobothria (long sensory hairs) on chela hand. We believe it is male due to the prominent genital opercula with sensory hairs, but we are unsure, because properly sexing pseudoscorpions is a long process. We believe is belongs to the family Chthoniidae due to the distinct genital opercula, the paired trichobothria on the dorsal chelate hands, and the fact that there are more leg segments on legs 3 and 4 (6 segments) than legs 1 and 2 (5 segments). We believe it belongs to the genus Mundochthonius because the coxal spines are confined to the second coxal segment, which is a key identifying feature of this genus.
